Kyokushin Karate Seminar at SV Oberstimm

Kyokushin Karate Seminar at SV Oberstimm

On Saturday November, 14th, 2009 the Kyokushin Karate SV Oberstimm organized a Karate Seminar under the lead of Shihan Ingo Freier (5th Dan) from Berlin. Shihan Ingo Freier is one of the last Dan graduated Karateka in the world who had trained under Sosai Masutatsu Oyama and got his 5th Dan from Sosai.

About 40 Karateka from Baar Ebenhausen, Pfaffenhofen and Oberstimm meet in the gym of Oberstimm. In over 7 hours Shihan Ingo trained basic techniques and took attach importance value of the spiritual and moral courage of the Karateka.

The course was divided in three parts by 2.5 hours each. Aside from Kyokushin techniques Shihan Ingo also taught Bo-Kata. This Bo-Kata was developed by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in memory of the Samurai in former times.

The third part of the course was tameshiwari. Here Shihan Ingo showed that not only power is necessary to break a wooden shelf, but spirit, exactness of technique together with speediness.

In the morning Shihan Ingo trained basic techniques again and again. Hundred of hundred repetitions. This kind of training is especially suitable in order to train techniques and to train condition.

After lunch, which was well prepared by Walter Stippel with drinks and food, the second part starts with Ido-Geiko (Kombinations) and Bo-Kata. Bo( long stick) Kata means to build a unity with different combinations of steps and different combinations of beat and block techniques, with slow respiration and quick, aggressing attack techniques. Like a Samurai fighter.

The third part of the seminar was tameshiwari (to break wooden shelves). Shihan Ingo told the participants that it is necessary to be quick, exact in technique and balanced in Spirit and heart.

To break wooden shelves, staying on a table or hanging on a rope isn´t easy, some of the participants recognized. This 3rd  part was an experience for all participants.

Also the kids could try to break a training shelve. Here they earn a lot of applause.

The Seminar ends with a Sayonara Party at the Inn Euringer. We appreciate it very much that 25 Karateka joined this Party. That’s the right way to be a Kyokushin Family. Shihan Ingo enjoyed this relaxed atmosphere, too. He promised to be back in 2010 to the next seminar.

Thanks Shihan Ingo.

The next event of the Kyokushin Karate SV Oberstimm will be the Christmas market in Oberstimm. On this market the Karateka and the parents of the Karateka kids will have a cottage and sell food and drinks. The money they earn is for the youth employment.

To the end of the year the 6th club championship we be held.
